Native to Fort Worth, Texas, USA, Cynthia Acebo started off as a live sound engineer working in venues with touring musicians and singing in a semi-professional choir, herself. Music is her first love but after being laid off without pay as a gig worker in 2020, she quickly fell into the world of permaculture. Texas is no easy place to grow a lush garden and after painstaking trial and error, she found ease by working WITH nature. After obtaining her PDC through Verge Permaculture, she immediately began her uphill career switch into a being a professional permaculture designer and consultant. She collaborates with designers all over the world and has created her own company, Forest Garden Design + Consulting, under her name. It is her passion to help people grow closer to nature through the permaculture ethics and principles. With her tech savvy background as an audio engineer and live stream facilitator, and her artistic and caring nature, Cynthia’s passion shines through in her beautiful and functional designs. She is currently studying herbalism, foraging, and conscious marketing to better serve her community and fellow permaculture designers.
