A Permaculture Programme for Children – A Special Needs Connection
About Lesson

Earth Care

This goal is to care for the world around us, starting with soil. We need to protect nature & reduce or reuse waste products as much as we can. Some people do this by recycling, while others may compost. We want to keep the earth clean!

People Care

People care begins with ourselves, followed by our family, friends, and community. The goal is to be self-reliant which is something a child with special needs is working hard to do already. This curriculum is designed to help parent & therapist teach special needs children to growing food, while simultaneously engaged in their therapies.

Fair Share

When our gardens get bigger they often grow more food than we can eat on our own. So we share it with our family, friends, and neighbours. It feels really good to share food you lovingly grew, and is a kind gesture to show appreciation for the people you care about.

What are the Permaculture Ethics?
