A Permaculture Programme for Children – A Special Needs Connection
About Lesson

The goal of this curriculum is to inspire parents, therapists, & caregivers of special needs kids through permaculture education. You (the caregiver) will be teaching your kid/s how to grow a garden while simultaneously engaging them in their therapy goals. Being able to present therapies through nature based learning can be really beneficial for a child, as it encourages them to reconnect with self and their surroundings while developing important life skills.

Through this adaptable curriculum the child will learn more about their own abilities and encourage personal growth. Caregivers will deliver a programme that is designed to maintain and/or restore functional independence of daily living skills in an engaging way.

If you are reading this curriculum with your special needs child we have included visual and audio stimulation, as well as movement breaks at the end of each chapter to help them disconnect from the screen and move their bodies! These can be used at any time they’re needed during curriculum activities.
